We have tried: We sewed the ribbon onto the placemat and gently washed the placemat with the sewn-on ribbon at 30°C. The ribbon didn't shrink, fade, or set the color and the ribbon print stayed the same. If the ribbon is sewn, it is necessary that the tablecloths, table runners or placemats with the sewn ribbon are then ironed on the back side and on low temperature! Ironing on the front side may damage the print on the ribbon.
