Embroidery with a hollow needle is easy and fast. The needle is only inserted into the fabric, it is not threaded through. When embroidering, it should be perpendicular to the fabric. The cotton you will be embroidering will be threaded with a long threader. It is embroidered by piercing the fabric and pulling the needle back just above the fabric, moving the tip a little in the direction of the embroidery and repeating. Try not to pull too hard on the yarn, otherwise the stitches will tangle. Detailed pictorial instructions can be found inside the package.
