The manufacturer reserves the right that the product may react in different ways with different materials and their quantities. In the case of dyeing to a darker shade of the same color, we recommend using a larger amount of dye.
We have tried: At the sewing workshop, we "decorated" a t-shirt, tablecloth and table mat with original colorful patterns using batik. Before dyeing, we washed the items intended for batik, ironed them, soaked them in clean cold water with a handful of table salt and let them lie in the salt water for a while so that the dye would hold well. After 15 min. we wrung out the material by hand and on the samples we created different variants of future patterns with the help of folding and bindings, the binding must be firm, it must not loosen during dyeing. We tied different types of cords, strings and we also used rubber bands. We put them prepared in this way into the dye bath, which we mixed according to the instructions on the bag. We followed the recommended dyeing process. After the dyeing time, we took the samples out of the dyeing bath. It is important to thoroughly rinse the dyed items several times in clean water, after the first rinse we carefully removed the strings. We used scissors when loosening the elastics and cords, because the wet knots were difficult to untie and were not very visible, we were careful not to cut into the material. The water should remain clean after rinsing. We added vinegar to the last rinse bath to stabilize and "fix" the color. We ironed the dyed product while it was still wet on the reverse side. We used rubber gloves when working. We tried both dyeing methods, hand dyeing and machine dyeing, both methods were not difficult. Our observation: after hand dyeing: The dyed product slightly faded after washing in the washing machine, we recommend adding a little vinegar to the wash to stabilize the colors. Our observation: when dyeing in the washing machine: After washing, the product dyed in the washing machine did not set the color. By using batik, we gave the garment a new look and created an original piece.
User manual: Dip the washed material designated for dyeing in warm water mixed with 1 fistful of salt for 15 minutes. Contents of the bag dissolve in 1 liter of water and add 1 handful of salt and stir thoroughly.
Hand coloring: into the prepared bath of temperature 40-60 ° C insert the material. It must be completely submerged. Stir it and while stirring bring it to boil. Let it submerged until water gets cold. Rinse in cold water until the water remains clear.
Dyeing in washer: set the washer program to 40-60 ° C (can be at 90 ° C) without pre-wash. Pour the melted color into the drum. Do not spin-dry. Rinse manually. Color does not destroy the wash machine.
