We have tried: we tried sewing the trimming braid and wash it by hand (as indicated in the care symbols). Since the edges of the braid are very narrow, sewing was more difficult, the work required precision and accuracy. After hand washing, the gold color partially disappeared from the braid. Braid is more suitable for decorative purposes.
