We have tried: This material is smooth, flowing, very pleasant to the touch. We tried to wash the velvet to the recommended temperature - it did not shrink, it dries quickly and there is no need to iron it, but if you want, we recommend ironing it only on the reverse side to a low temperature or with steam. When cutting, it is good to lay all the parts in one direction (velvet looks different from each side, depending on how light falls on the hair). The edges do not fray. The seamstresses from our sewing workshop have prepared a simple comparison of different types of velvet for you.
The fabric measurements needed for sewing basic garments and home textiles, can be found here .
